Where is Jean Arthur's Oscar?! She has the stupidest lines ever in The Plainsman, but, Lawdy, does she ever put them over with conviction. Yeah, Gary Cooper was swell, too. This is another one I've only seen on TV and happily discovered there's about thirty minutes at the beginning I'd never seen. Not that the plot made a lot of sense to begin with, but it makes a more now. Mainly it's just manly men swaggering around and posing for Mr. de Mille. Posted by GM
