Whither Webcomics?"It's my sincere belief that in ten years entire cottage industries will exist that do nothing but analyze the psychology behind horrible webcomics."
"Hey, why wait ten years?"
[Previous entry: "Friendly Hostility, oh, November and December-ish 2004"] [Main Index] [Next entry: "I couldn't care less"] 01/22/2005 Entry: "Friendly Hostilty" The story so far: Fox writes a passionate email to the ex-Grape Fantana girl. Fox is waiting for a reply to his email. Yet another print sale at K. Sandra Fuhr, Inc. - Fox and Collin have all the passion of changing the toilet paper roll, but still rake in the cash for KSF. Nefertari has maternal feelings toward her husband (ew). Bootsie misses the point of cheesecake. (Just when I thought this strip couldn't get any dumber, it does.) Not even Elvis is safe. There's a connection between cherry pie and Satan? Collin has the post-Christmas blahs. Hard to tell them from the strip's usual blahs. Poor, psychotic Betsy relives her Rafi trauma, again, if not for the fifth or sixth time. Hey, the bucket can only go to the same well so many times, except in this webcomic. The main feature in this episode is Nefertari's hair, and if as much effort were put in the plot, this webcomic might be more worthwhile, alas. And Collin's hair is heavily featured here. Must have been a hair fetish week for old Sandra. Padma invents a flying disk, that gets stuck in a tree, and then we are treated to the same four panels of Fatima and Padma looking at it. Then Padma climbs the tree, and then he gets stuck in the tree and insists only Rafi can rescue him, then he falls out of the tree, but his flying disc is fucked up. The End. And this, folks, is what passes for a plot arc in this webcomic. Well, tune in next time; I'm sure nothing will still be happening. Some thoughts: This webcomic makes "Family Circus" look like a work of profound genius.
