Wednesday, February 23, 2005 The story so far: I couldn't care less. Some thoughts: I'm often asked why I dislike Sandra. Well, I'll tell you. Way back in the Fall of 2000, Sandra was a nice person with a nice comic on the internet. Over the years, she has become an unpleasantly arrogant money-grubbing creepy person with a LiveJournal Community for her louche and obscure comic on the internet. I suspect a little fame for her meager talent went very much to her head. I find this sad when I don't find it annoying. Her drawing did get better over the years and I applauded this. Then it deteriorated when she could no longer hear anyone's constructive criticism. These new strips are especially bad because of that. I'm not even sure why she's publishing her doodles anymore, except for the money she drums up with her crappy print sales and begging people to click the ad at the top of her Keenspot site for the small change (which Keenspot gets most of) it brings in. So that's why I don't like Sandra or any other talent-free praise-junkie cult figure on the web today. I shall close with the truism that the sweetest music to anyone's ears is the sound of their own name. But more important, though possibly less sweet, is what is being said in addition your name.
